More announcements to follow 😉

ABOUT So Kindly
Emerging out of the vibrant Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, So Kindly presents a sound that lands comfortably between electronic-influenced dance music and indie-folk.

So Kindly’s lush and warm arrangements parallel their positive energy-laden melodies, resulting in a sound that is as unique as it is charming.

Since the release of their first EP ‘Warmest Place’ in 2017, So Kindly has performed across the Southern Continent – from Zimbabwe to Botswana to Cape Town, South Africa. A collaboration with Belgium Duo Vijay and Sofia saw their track ‘The Silence Speaks’ released through the Italian Record Label: ‘Ego Music’, and chosen as ‘release of the week’ on iTunes (France).

This is the first in a series of events where we introduce a musician to the Half Bar crowd! If there’s anyone else that you guys can think of, please send ’em my way!

ABOUT Amy & the Calamities
Amy & The Calamities is the creation of solo artist and performer, Amy Wawn, a musician and singer-songwriter from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Amy’s style ranges from lively foot-stomping folk rhythms to the dirty-delicious sounds of delta blues on the slide guitar, accompanied by a dark, brooding vocal range, lilting melodies and thoughtful lyrics.

Since she released her debut EP, The Suspects, in February 2018, Amy has been met with great reviews and exciting opportunities. “With an impressive range of sound, a lyrical depth and sublime vocals, all the right boxes are ticked,’ said Indie band Guru.

In 2018 Amy performed at The Cambridge Folk Festival, one of the world’s longest running folk festivals, alongside artists such as The First Aid Kit and Patti Smith.

Amy has just released a music video for ‘Bless’ in collaboration with Writer, director and producer Kalai Faye Barlow and Cinematographer Richard Watson. You can watch the video here!
