About Zambezi House:

“Along the shores of the iconic Zambezi River lies the “Zambezi House – Bar & Canteen”. Drawing upon the vibrant cultures of African markets and social scenes and the modern trends of “café life styles” found in the thriving metropolises of African cities, we offer an ambience like no other.”

Here’s what to expect!

Amy & The Calamities is the creation of solo artist and performer, Amy Wawn, a musician and singer-songwriter from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Amy’s style ranges from lively foot-stomping folk rhythms to the dirty-delicious sounds of delta blues on the slide guitar, accompanied by a dark, brooding vocal range, lilting melodies and thoughtful lyrics.

Since she released her debut EP, The Suspects, in February 2018, Amy has been met with great reviews and exciting opportunities. “With an impressive range of sound, a lyrical depth and sublime vocals, all the right boxes are ticked,’ said Indie band Guru.

In 2018 Amy performed at The Cambridge Folk Festival, one of the world’s longest running folk festivals, alongside artists such as The First Aid Kit and Patti Smith.

Here she is at Sofar Sounds London performing ‘Bless’ live.

Amy has just released a music video for ‘Bless’ in collaboration with Writer, director and producer Kalai Faye Barlow and Cinematographer Richard Watson. You can watch the video here!
